I am captivated by fire.
The spark, flame, and warmth have always filled me with joy.
The flickering of a fireplace, as I snuggle in to read on a rainy day - pure perfection.
Welcome to Hope That Soars, where together, with my husband Ryan, we navigate the messiness of life by pointing people to the HOPE found in a relationship with Jesus.
Our journey is filled with heartache and the daily struggle of chronic illness, scripted by a loving Creator.
It is through Him we find LOVE, JOY, and STRENGTH to press forward.
I pray you will join us as we share life lessons gained through mishap, adventures, and everything in between. Perhaps somewhere along the way, you too will find, a HOPE that SOARS!

Sleep on that flight was elusive, so upon landing in Tel Aviv, I felt miserable - combine that with motion sickness sustained on the bus… I was a wreck by the time we arrived at our hotel.
Nevertheless, a shower, followed by a good night’s sleep worked wonders to improve my physical distress.
Armed with a positive attitude and a pocket full of Dramamine, I boarded the bus the following morning, determined to make the most of this experience.
Following this event, I found myself thinking about the game of life.
No, not the board game.
Our everyday, coming and going, goal pursuing, teammates required, type of living.
And I have discovered that there are aspects about chronic illness that leave people feeling unprepared.
Ten minutes passed and our experience began to plummet.
From abundantly populated aisles, to toppled merchandise, and the ever present cart roulette…
My resolve was fading quickly.
